           What an anathematous disdain for it’s citizenry? Must the people now bear the brunt for governments ineptitude, inefficiency and pusillanimity in squaring up with these economic philistines and fat cows? I feel even more nauseated and vexed that the Governors Forum has posthaste conferred an apocalyptic imprimatur on this genie. Let’s not forget that majority of these same Governors had earlier called for this state of affairs as a condition sinequanon for paying the minimum wage. What an opprobrium? What a deprecable descent from the sublime to the ridiculous? It’s up to us all to put this Presidential and Gubernatorial genie back into the bottle but are we prepared? do you get my point?

Now this was one story that caught me wondering and thinking a lot. its so amazing how far the human will can take you. the Uruguayan Stella Marris College rugby team were going for a match in Chile when disaster struck. In the end, only 16 lived to tell the tale. The others died during the crash, in the days soon after from injuries or cold, and eight succumbed to an avalanche on the 17th day. The stranded survivors were left with no option but to eat the flesh of their dead teammates and adapt to living in the extreme conditions. The remaining men were found almost 10 weeks following the initial crash when two members went on an expedition and flagged down a passing Chilean horseman.

A female student was gang raped by five boys in Abia State University. This incident happened Tuesday August 16^th , 2011. These boys raped this girl, recorded it, passed it round their friends, who then passed it round ABSU campus. 

And do you know what her offense was, why this girl was raped? She supposedly insulted one of the boys...that was all.

In the rape video, which lasts for over an hour, the girl cried her eyes out and tried to fight them off in the first few minutes, after a while they subdued her; by slapping her, rough handling her, threatening to kill her and having rough sex with her. After a while she gave in and instead of fighting, she started pleading, and after her pleas fell on deaf ears, she begged them to kill her that she couldn’t take the pain anymore. The sad event occured in the rohini area of  New delhi, India last late night along the Katju route. According to information, A 77-year-old woman was going to rickshaw to visit some relatives when she was taken to a secluded plot  on the road and there, beaten and raped by the taxi driver that had picked her up from her home.

After the hideous act the unidentified driver fled the scene. The elderly woman was later admitted to Ambedkar hospital for medical attention  by some workers on thier way home from work. The case has been booked at the  Katju police however the Rickshaw driver is still at large.

 A shortage of condoms is hampering Kenya's fight against sexually transmitted diseases.Distributing free condoms is a key weapon in the Kenyan government’s fight against HIV and AIDS but with  supplies running short as many as 8 million people have been left without access to the contraceptives.

Pregnant woman sent to kirikiri for smoking weed

A pregnant woman, Fumilayo Adeboye has been sent to Kirikiri prison in Apapa, Lagos State Southwest Nigeria for smoking marijuana in public place at Igando area Lagos.
She confessed to the police that she was taking the substance because it was good for her and the baby she was carrying in her womb.
Fumilayo revealed that she was introduced into smoking the weeds by her husband, Kehinde some years back and since then she was not only smoking but also selling it with her husband.

UN PLANE CRASHES IN CONGO KILLING 32 OUT OF 33

A United Nations plane has crashed at Kinshasa airport in the Democratic Republic of Congo, killing 32 of 33 people on board, the UN says.
The CRJ-100 jet broke in two and burst into flames as it attempted to land in heavy rain.
It had reportedly flown from Goma via Kisangani in the north-east.
Twenty UN workers were listed as being on the plane, which had a Georgian crew and both Congolese and foreign nationals aboard.
The nationality of the lone survivor remains unknown

An HIV vaccine that could outwit the deadly virus could undergo human trials in as little as a year's time, scientists say.
The 'mosaic vaccine', which is being designed by an international team of investigators, works by being able to adapt to the virus as it mutates.
HIV's ability to evolve rapidly is what lets it dodge current drugs.
Bette Korber from Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, is one of the scientists who has worked on the project for 20 years.
She said: 'We're in the evolutionary fast lane studying HIV.
'If you give just one drug, HIV evolves away from it. That why treatments involve three or four drugs at once.'
The HIV virus, which is largely made up of proteins, causes AIDS - a disease that destroys the body's immune system leaving sufferers vulnerable to infections and tumours. The disease killed 1.8million people worldwide in 2009.
